A Frenchic place to visit: L’Opéra Garnier

When you come out of the metro station you are immediately overwhelmed by the majestic Opéra de Paris also called Palais Garnier as the building is imposing not only because of its size but also because of the golden roof sculptures!

It was built between 1862 and 1875 by order of Emperor Napoleon III and designed by the French architect Charles Garnier….which explains the name….

It is a little bit dark inside and then difficult to take pictures but it does not matter because all the lights illuminate the beautiful staircases.

OPERA 7The theatre is just splendid with its beautiful red velour chairs and amazing ceiling paintings.

This is really a Frenchic place to visit!
Enjoy your weekend!
