After a weekend in the very charming city of Lille and a busy week at work I haven’t got the time to post anything for a while but well….things take time. That is a lesson life has been teaching me a lot! Be patient, things take time. As I am more into action being patient has been really challenging for me. I don’t like to wait!
But I found out that sometimes there is a natural process you cannot control, just like this flower opening up little by little….
Sometimes you need to be prepared in your mind, in your heart. You cannot see this preparation as it takes place inside of you and you might think “Nothing is happening in my life!”
Sometimes you need a change in the way you see things and that does not happen in a day! Things need to mature…
Don’t be too “pushy” for things to happen in your life, it can be a new job, a house, a husband or wife, a child, ….
You might ended up being frustrated and irritable and people around you might not enjoy you presence!
You might end up not enjoying the present moment!
Let it go because very often it is when you let go that things happen to you!
Today…the 14th of July 2016….it is national day here in France. There are fireworks in many french cities, military parades, military pilots flying , etc…
Last year….the 14th of July 2015…I got the opportunity to fly in a small aircraft (next to an experimented pilot of course!) and it was absolutely fantastic! I would actually love to learn to fly, take some courses but it is quite expensive….maybe one day… you never know!!! But at least now I know what it is!
The excitement and the beauty of the landscape, the feeling of freedom took over the nervousness. My fear once up there vanished easily!
This moment made me forget the challenges I was going through at that time (and I am not totally over yet!). Life can be very tough but some time it offers us some “breathing breaks”, some experiences, some people, some moments that makes us happy, laugh, breath, enjoy….and we need to embrace those moments, to live them fully!
Ready to take off….
Co-piloting…. ( I wish! but joking)
The view over Le Vexin, a beautiful area in France
I am happy! I did it!
This is a new category: “Lessonichic” and it is about the lessons of life!
Yes life teaches us some things… sometimes in a pleasant way.. other in a very brutal way. So what has life taught me on “being alone” or in other words “spending time with myself”?
Well….I work in a very crowded business area in Paris.
I work in a department with 20 persons sharing the same open space. I see I hear people all the time and I like it in a way but at the end of the day it is nice to get some peace and quietness. I live in a small village outside Paris and on my way home I can feel the pulse of the city behind me and I am then “entering” the world of nature! I can see horses, beautiful trees, houses on the roadside… I am slowly relaxing…
We live in a world where we are connected nearly all the time.. yes so many social networks! But are we connected to ourselves?
Being alone helps me to evacuate “toxic” thoughts and words. We hear and see so many bad/negative things every day and it is nice to refill our mind with peaceful thoughts.
Being alone helps me not to care about other people expectations for a while. Sometimes we feel a pressure from others and we do things just to please them. It is important to connect to our own dreams, goals, etc…
Being alone helps me to take care of myself and do activities I enjoy, to treat my body, to renew my mind, to upload new strength, to get creative, etc….
The more I spend time with myself, take care of myself, feel good about myself, love myself….the more I can give to others, love others!
There is nothing wrong on being all alone once in a while…
The more you are in peace with yourself the more you will be in peace with others!
